BRUSSELS – Sylvamo is making progress towards its 2030 goals in Europe by fostering inclusive and diverse workplaces to increase the number of people with disabilities representation by 6%.
The company’s Global Business Service Center in Krakow, Poland, is training all employees on disabilities and how to approach people with different needs. Employees received training with a specialist and person with a disability simultaneously.
Dynamic new office spaces in Krakow were also designed and introduced with inclusivity in mind. Employees now have access to an accessible restroom, adapted for movement disabilities, and quiet room to recharge, relax and shield from outside stimuli.
Sylvamo’s Saillat, France, mill continues to partner with ESAT Les Seilles to promote inclusion and diversity in the workplace by helping individuals with disabilities discover potential and develop social skills. Through the partnership, individuals perform various professional activities at Sylvamo to gain valuable experience.
A new space for participants, located close to employee offices, was introduced to create social links with Sylvamo teams and generate stronger self-confidence and increase skills.
