Sylvamo Chief Information Security Officer Recognized as Cybersecurity Leader of the Year

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Lana Davenport, chief information security officer at Sylvamo, has been recognized as Cyber Security Leader of the Year at the 2024 MEMTECH Awards. 

The award highlights Davenport’s leadership in developing innovative and cutting-edge cybersecurity solutions while building Sylvamo’s cybersecurity department. 

The MEMTECH Awards, sponsored by The Society for Information Management Memphis chapter in partnership with Memphis Magazine, celebrates tech leaders and innovators in the technology industry in the Greater Memphis area. 
One of Davenport’s goals is to inspire more women to pursue careers in cybersecurity.
 
“For the longest time, I was the only female in the room,” Davenport said. “I am so glad to see improvement as women provide such a great perspective.” 

One of Sylvamo’s 2030 goals is achieve an inclusive and diverse culture with 30% overall women representation and 35% women in leadership positions.
