MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Sylvamo recently celebrated its third anniversary through a Global Day of Service. Employees across the world volunteered for activities that focused on addressing critical needs in their local communities.
In Latin America and North America, team members packed bags with school supplies that were given to children through local schools and education organizations. In Europe, they assembled period kits for women in poverty, packed bags of coloring books and games for children at local hospitals and planted trees.
"Our Global Day of Service strengthens community ties and fosters a culture of service and collaboration within the organization," said Neki Catron, global community engagement manager at Sylvamo. "By engaging in service, we inspire our employees, build stronger community relationships and positively impact society."
In total, employees packed 5,550 kits for people in their local communities. Here is the impact by region:
