Sylvamo Introduces HP Climate Choice in Europe, Helps Provide Clean Drinking Water in Eastern Africa

BRUSSELS – Sylvamo,  the world's paper company, is proud to launch HP Climate Choice in Europe. The new line of HP Papers offers unparalleled print quality, easily recyclable paper packaging and a climate action commitment.

HP Climate Choice is manufactured at Sylvamo’s Saillat, France, mill. Sylvamo’s climate action plan includes measuring carbon footprints, working towards emissions reduction targets, financing climate projects and transparently communicating the entire journey.

Science Based Target initiative (SBTi) found Sylvamo’s 2030 goal to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 35% is in line with reducing global warming well below 2 degrees Celsius, in line with the Paris Agreement.

Sylvamo partners with ClimatePartner to certify HP Climate Choice. Every purchase helps improve access to clean drinking water in Zoba Maekel, Eritrea, in Eastern Africa.

Eritrea faces challenges with access to safe drinking water due to droughts, floods and contamination, which particularly impact rural communities. The Gold Standard Emission Reductions certified project repairs boreholes crucial for clean water access in impoverished areas.
