MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Sylvamo will celebrate one year as an independent, publicly traded company Saturday, Oct. 1. The milestone is being commemorated through celebrations from the company’s world headquarters in Memphis, Tennessee, to other facilities worldwide.
“Over the last year we operated responsibly and sustainably through dynamic industry conditions to produce the paper that people around the world depend on to educate, communicate and entertain,” said Jean-Michel Ribiéras, Sylvamo chairman and chief executive officer. “I am proud of the culture we are creating at Sylvamo and I want to express my deep appreciation to our talented team members for your hard work and resiliency, our valued customers for your trust and support and our committed shareowners for investing in our company.”
Celebrations include a global day of service focused on education access in alignment with the company’s 2030 Goal to support childhood education in local communities. Employee events are also planned at Sylvamo facilities globally.
