Sylvamo Aids in Research to Save Endangered Primate
The buffy-tufted marmoset, listed as one of the 25 most endangered primate species in the world by the International Union for Conservation of Nature, has been spotted five times on a Sylvamo-owned forestland reserve since February 2023. The sightings are important for conserving the species and reinforcing the importance of preserving natural lands through quality forest restoration.

Sylvamo committed $1 million to The Nature Conservancy (TNC) supporting work that advances TNC's mission in Tennessee and the Appalachian Mountains. In 2021, TNC identified the Appalachians as one of four global priorities for conservation.

Sylvamo announced a $3 million expanded partnership with World Wildlife Fund (WWF) to further its commitment to forest conservation and restoration in Europe, Latin America and North America.
